Hole Descriptions
Hole 4 is the shortest par 4 on the nine, but it will by no means be the easiest. Shooting south west with a slight dogleg left, the fairway, like most on the course will provide an ample landing area for the shorter hitters. In fact on this hole, there will be a distinct advantage to be had by most golfers who choose to hit a slightly more conservative tee shot. This is due to the fact that the fairway has a distinct step up of about 5 metres at the 230m metre mark, and hitting too close to the step without actually climbing it will cause a blind approach to the green.
Most golfers will be best served by hitting no further than 200 metres off the tee, which will leave a short iron approach to a raised green angled across the line of play, with bunkers back left and front right. From here, an accurate short iron will see a good chance at par or better.
Of course, Long hitters and professionals will try to go for one-on, and a strategically placed bunker, set in the slope at 240 metres from the tee will provide an indication of the correct line, which must be strictly adhered to, to avoid bogey or worse.

LOCAL RULE
The Game of Golf shall be played in accordance with the rules as approved by R&A Ltd and the Local Rule of Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club.
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)
1.1 Beyond the boundary of the course.
1.2 As indicated by white stakes and / or lines. Where the lines exist, the line defines the OB.

2. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
2.1 Water hazards - defined by yellow stakes and/or lines.
2.2 Lateral water hazards - defined by red stakes and/or lines.
3. DROP ZONE
3.1 Hole # 12 – If a ball is in or it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has been found is in water hazard, the player may:
- Proceed under Rule 26; or
- As an additional option, you may drop a ball, under penalty of one stroke, in the drop zone.
4. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 24-1)
4.1 Areas encircled by white lines.
4.2 Bare areas in bunkers caused by erosion.
4.3 Deep tire-ruts.
4.4 Ground damaged by wild animal and abnormal ground conditions.
4.5 Temporary drainage channels on the course.
5. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTION (Rule 24-2)
The ball may be lifted and dropped without penalty within one club length from the nearest point of relief where such point is not nearer to the hole.
5.1 All buggy tracks or service road
- Drains attached to buggy track are part of the buggy track.
- Bare patches of ground within one club length of buggy track considered part of buggy track.
5.2 Rain shelters, halfway huts, bridges, floodlights, concrete sumps, sprinkler heads, water-control valves, sand station bins, signage and exposed drainage pipes.
5.3 Flower Beds
5.4 Young trees marked by green paint or supported by stakes.
5.5 Distance markers, tee signage and directional sign.
6. MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
(RULE 24-1)
6.1 Stones and pebbles in bunkers
6.2 Hazard stakes
7. EMBEDDED BALL THROUGH THE GREEN
7.1 Through the green, a ball which embedded in its own pitch mark in the ground other than sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer to the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green.
