Hole Twelve

Hole Descriptions

Hole 12 is a longish par 4 golf hole that plays as a slight right to left dogleg and quite substantially downhill along its length.

The tee shot is best played down the right side of the fairway, and this will generally give the best chance of sighting the green for the 2nd shot, even for short hitters. Of course, golfers will need to position the their ball close to the two right side fairway bunkers in order to achieve this advantage.

Upon arrival at the landing zone, golfers will be presented with a rather spectacular view of the 3rd green, pond and stone bridge.

The approach shot will depend greatly on the pin position. With a bunker short right of the green and also back left, pins at the front will be best approached from the extreme right of the fairway, whilst rear pins will be best approached from the centre-left of the fairway.

The green actually falls away from the line of play, making spin and distance control extremely crucial on the approach shot. Golfers would do well to treat this hole with utmost respect, because being too bold will likely see many balls finish in the pond beyond the green.
